| EKRH Oncology Update and Toy Drive |
The East Kootenay Regional Hospital's oncology lounge has a new look. For years, cancer patients were surrounded by a children's theme in the oncology department, but a 5 thousand dollar donation from the Abreast in the Rockies Dragon Boat fund has given the place a more sophisticated look.
The update is welcome to oncology patients, with new paint and new furniture.
Meantime, pediatric team at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital have started up a "For the Kids" toy collection.
The team is taking in new toys for kids from birth to 18 years old.
If you have brand new, packaged toys to donate, call the East Kootenay Foundation for Health. |
